So it's Friday and I'm still hurtin a little bit after yesterday's practice. It's not the practice, it's just that I've had some trouble with my knee (not the same knee I hurt before) since last weekend and yesterday just spurred it on a bit more. It's be alright after some weekend rest.
This guy Tim Mannix gave me a bike to use, so now I will be able to explore places farther away and not have to pay to use the bus. Sweet. I just need a bike lock. It's the law to wear a bike helmet, so that's a little wierd.
I go back to the "Fireman's Arms" at 3:30 to see if I have a job. Hopefully that will be the case. One set back. I have a ticket a rugby match tonight in Welllington. It's the super 14 teams playing - Hurricane's vrs. Red's. My first super 14 game! I have to go! So, we'll see if they want me to work tonight. Either way, the game will be on at the bar. It's only 3 weeks until our first match. People are starting to talk about it and get excited. I know I am. Practices have been going pretty well. I just wish I could get out more and run. I've been hitting the gym, but now there's that thing with my knee holding me back from running outside of practice.
The players are really good over here. Props and stuff running like backs with the ball skill of backs. This is going to be insane. Can't wait to learn a whole new game. It will surely be much quicker. Well, gotta go get some groceries and spend all my money. Cheers

You should try to "run" on one of those no-impact machines. Where you basically slide instead of run. The game should be pretty exciting. If it's anything like live soccer matches you'll be hoarse by halftime. Enjoy it and take pics. Cheers.
You miss that Super 14 match, DON'T COME BACK!!!
If you're interested I can give you some tips that we do for knee injuries? But no matter what you need to ice it after practice and workouts. Riding your bike before practice or running will help warm it up and do lots of hamstring and quad stretches before and after you practice. I know you know this but you need to "pamper" your knee cuz you need those to play well! I'm with Dirk with his comment!! You can't miss that dude!
