Well, I had my first day on the job yesterday.
I was hired at "The Fireman's Arms" as a bartender. It's a nice place. Good food, and they have a cool courtyard outside and stuff. It was really slow, but that was a good thing b/c it was my first day. I feel real uncomfortble working there so far. It's just not the same as working in the states, obviously. Different ways of doing things. They do their own laundry, instead of sending it out. All the different types of coffee's they make it crazy. Other than that, you don't pour many mixed drinks and stuff. So that's easy. Mainly beers and RTD's (ready to drink's).
But all the that will come in time. Mainly when I get a little better of a trainer. Honestly she didn't tell me all that much about stuff. I mean, if it was Heidi like at Carrabba's or something I would have gotten more out of it.
We begin real hitting tomorrow at practice, rather than with pads. Should be interesting. In just one week we have our internal trial where everyone is fighting for their positions on teams. Next Thursday is the day. Gonna be up against some big Kiwi coconuts.
Tomorrow I'm going to practice early to practice my kicking with one of our coaches names Murry. He was a back and kicked so he should be able to critique my skills. The main thing I need to get the hang of is the wind. It's ridiculous.
I keep losing weight, which is also pretty ridiculous. I'm now down to about 186/187 lbs. I couldn't believe it when I stepped on the scale and I was a whole kilo and 1/2 under. All this running is taking its toll. It's funny b/c I thought I was eating a extreme amount of food. I guess I just can't keep up. As long as I get faster with it I guess it's not that bad of a thing.
Well, last thing I want to say is Good Luck to the Cajun's at Ruggerfest when they take on Loyola. I know they won't need it, b/c they're gonna win. So, good luck fellas
Cheers

Glad you got a job. I take it this place is more like a restaurant than a bar? Atleast you'll make a little money so you can see all the sights. Good luck with your tryouts thursday.
No. It's a bar. All the bars are like this. All of them serve food and stuff. I like it so far.
HAHA I love you James!!! You will make it. And I am sooo glad that you are doing ok. O i was told to tell you Hi by Peytons parents, they came and ate the other night. Well take care!
