An Eventful week

Well first off, the weather here has definitely changed. It's freakin freezing and very very wet. Last night it snowed in the hills and you can see snow capped hills in the distance this morning. Very nice.

Training was canceled on Tuesday b/c the All-Blacks came to our club as a PR kind of thing. I couldn't believe how many kids were out there. Basically the All Blacks showed up in their bus and went right out to our training paddock. They did drills and stuff with the kids for 30 minutes, then came over near our clubhouse for a signature session. My bosses at work gave me a book of Tana Umanga as a present, so I got the All Blacks to sign the inside cover. I got about 10 signatures, but didn't really get to speak with them since the crowd was so large. But players like Andy Ellis, Ali Williams, Neemia Tialata, Leon Mcdonald and a few others. It was pretty awesome. I have some real close up photos of some as well, even though it was dark.

I think Ali Williams got a little shy and upset b/c my flat mate mentioned it ass and he heard. It was pretty funny.

So since the field was so torn up after that session we didn't train. I felt it this week in my match. I felt like I played an entire match with just the first half gone. It was rough. It's real hard to stay motivated and keep training hard in this cold weather. We played Poneke this weekend and I was really hoping for a win this time. They were terrible the first round, but this team was a totally different team. We held out for a while but a couple simple mistakes costed us some dear tries. So we lost in the end.

After the match I went to the All Blacks South Africa match. It was pretty awesome to see Brian Habana run. It was a real physical and scrappy match. Very awesome. I'll post pics later. Out time now. Cheers
