Saturday 3/22

It's Saturday and it's my day off of work, and since there's no rugby it's just my day off of everything.

I've been starting to get lazy, which sucks. Nobody has been around the club at the hours which I can go and use the gym, so I havenb't been able to do weights in a while. Push ups and stuff only go so far. On Tuesday they should be naming the teams. We had a match this past Thursday and I only got about 10 minutes of play time. Neemia Tialata, an All Black who played for Petone was there to see some time. His Super 14 team, the Hurricanes, have a bye week so I guess that's why he made it out. This guy is huge, and for some of the time he was playing with the other team, and not Petone. He was my opposite me in one phase and I went to attempt to tackle him but he passed it off, to my relief b/c he definately could have run me over.

Our season begins in one week. They name the teams on Tuesday and we have our first match on Saturday. I think we're going to have a pretty strong senior 2nd side. I will probably be put at fullback, but maybe will see some time at first five as well. They showed me that my passing is all wrong and it needs to be fixed. This is a very hard thing to do after passing like I have been for 5 years. It's going to take alot of work to break the habit.

Today I am going to take my bike for a ride through the Belmont State Park. They have some pretty good trails and I think it'll be about a 3 or 4 hour ride. After that, I'm going to ride to Lower Hutt City to go to the internet cafe there. I'll be posting alot of pictures on the blog, so stay tuned to see those. On Thursday the bar downstairs had a big pre good friday party so I went down and got on the piss for a bit. After some people I knew went down to a house to to hang out which was only about a block away. It was fun and I met alot of people. The fullback and first five of the Premier side went as well and I got to talk to them. Cool guys.

Well I'm going to ride and hopefully get some cool pictures while on the trail.
