April 9

I tried to post about my game on Sunday but it messed up and didn't go through.

This past weekend was a very wet one. The team we played was called West Valley or something like that. They were a big team, and their first five was pretty huge. Their first five never ran the ball though. All he did was pass it out or kick it, but kick it he could do and do well.

I started first five which only lasted about 5 minutes for me. After passing the ball out to my backs I looped around my outside center when he passed the ball to me and BAM. I'm out. Knocked out. Apparently the fullback came on the side of me and knocked me in my head. How the ref missed it I'll never know. Parially b/c I was knocked out for about a minute. luckily it's only my first knock out ever and I remember everything from the point of sitting up from the ground shaking my head like I got hit by a train. My wits were about me, which is good b/c they take head injuries real serious over here. I think you stay out 3 weeks if it's bad. I didn't see a doctor b/c I didn't think I needed too, and the physio agreed that I would be alright. The physio also cleared me to play this weekend since I didn't have any lingering injuries. No headaches or anything. So hopefully my coach will play me this weekend. Oh yeah, we lost the match 15-8.

Monday was an interesting day for me. I tried again to go hiking where I failed to last Monday due to inclement weather. It was rainy Monday, but not as bad as it was last week. I woke up even earlier- 6:30 and it seriously took about 2 1/2 hours just to get to the park. Waiting for public transportation sucks sometimes. But I had a good hike and took many pictures which I will post later.

After an exhausting day, hiking about 23 kilometers, I reach the train station at Upper Hutt. I get on the train which comes at 5:30, which is supposed to be my train, and once on I realize it's going the wrong way. This train takes me another 21 kimlometers before I can get off. Also, it's the last train for the day. Luckiliy one of my mates comes and picks me up. Like a 45 minute drive. Needless to say I'm getting it for kangaroo court coming up.

I'll load my pictures a little later. until then.

Cheers
