Wellington

Well today was my day off so I decided to go into Wellington city. It was quite a nasty day so I passed up most of the outdoor walking and sight seeing that I wanted to do.

I tried to find the Department of Conservation (DOC) but apparently they moved and all the information I had to find it is outdated. I would have found alot of information on tramping and hiking at the DOC. Also I would have been able to purchase hut passes, which I need to stay in a hut while I go tramping.I did take a cable car ride up to the botanical gardens and walked around there. This place definitely reminded me of Central Park in NYC. Except it was MUCH smaller but much more exotic. They had lots of people walking and jogging around the gardens.

I also just walked around the town and went into shops and stuff. Time went by quickly.

I don't have work again tomorrow so I MAY go back into Wellington, depending on the weather. Here are some pics of my walk today.

I'll type more about the pics specifically later. But for now, I have to catch my bus back to Petone. Cheers

Your climate appears to agree with you, as it looks like you put on a few pounds. Mightly useful when taking out an apponent.

PICS are great. Reminds me of my shutter bug days. Even the framing looks familiar.

I'm now in New Orleans working again in the office. The ole hip is healig, but still tender and is a little painful when I push too much. I lost 20 lbs. from all the exercise I've been doing, plus discovering energy drinks lately instead of coke and other soft drinks. It's great to move without pain again (or at least a different pain). I'm familiar with the type pain I have now. It feels more like a "breaking back into shape" pain. That I can handle.

Good luck with your next game. I guess your experience with darkness when your lights were turned off came out alright. I didn't see you mention it again.

Good luck. Have fun.

Yeah, I have put on some weight, but not in the right places. Seeing as how my aerobic exercise has been greatly limited but work and other things, my speed has suffered. But, such is the way of settling for less than totally healthy foods b/c it's cheap. To add on about the head: nope, no problems there.
