Saturday 3-8

Last night was my busiest night at work yet. They had an 18th birthday party, and the local rugby team had an away match, so the bar was pretty busy. We actually had to throw out 5 people, one by force b/c he started a fight. After was pretty sweet. It's written into our contract that we are allowed a drink on the house once we finish a shift. The owners stuck around after along with a couple regulars and we had a few drinks and hung out. The good thing about this is they general sign us off at the point when we leave the building, so I'm actually getting paid to hang out and drink with my coworkers. Fun stuff.

I'm off tonight, but they have this fiar with bands and stuff on the road which I live on. The ownder of the bar downstairs, a guy named Tomahoe (also my landlord), is in need of extra security and help tonight. So I'll be helping out and I think i'll be getting paid with a bar tab. Not sure. Either way I'll be working with my flat mates and there will be a band across the street. Tomahoe is putting up a big tent outside and it promises to be a fun time anyway.

This will be after my practice, ofcourse. We're having a run through for about an hour to get down plays and specifics for the match on Tuesday. This is just to get everyone on the same page. For one thing, when were ran through some on Thursday my backs and I were definately NOT on the same page. Ofcourse I call and play which is totally different from what they call it and we're confused. I got with the coach after and I think I have it squared away. This is basically my trial for the Senior 1 team. The premier team is in Aussie right now and comes back on Monday. The coaches are thinking that they'll be tired and some not be able to play on Tuesday. That's why they have alot of us getting ready to play this Randwick team and see what we've got. I'm confident in my defense and my place kicking. My drop kicks aren't doing so bad either. But I'm not so confident in my attacking skills, communication for obvious reasons, and my punting. For some reason my punting has gone to crap. I'm trying to work on this extensively to fix it.

At work I've been talking to alot of the regulars about raveling once I'm finished with rugby season, and if possibly any of my mates end up coming to visit. Lots of them have connections and some even have "spare" homes to which I can stay when I travel New Zealand. There's this one guy from Pensacola who is great friends with the owner who lived on the south island for a while and has given me some great information on where to go, and who I can stay with when I want to travel. Sooo, sweet.

Well, I have to go to make my practice session. Cheers

Sounds like your getting the feel of the place. We'll have to call you "Home Skillet" for feeling at home. Good to hear your allergies are ok.

Snowed in North Louisiana today. Weather is unsettled, but after all, it is late winter.

Good luck with your upcoming test. Remember BONSAI!!!!! when you attack.

Cheers
